Exciting Trip to Ajanta and Ellora

SPONSORED LINKS

This Christmas holidays took me to some really amazing places in Maharashtra, India. Those 5 days of travelling is a bundle of joy, excitement, and experiences. I visited Ajanta, Ellora, Aurangabad, Daulatabad and couple of temples on the way. These places are some the amazing places that one should visit at least once in a life time.

Aurangabad

First day we visited places in Mumbai, like Siddi Vinayak temple, gateway of India etc. Second day we left for Aurangabad. We stayed here for two days. First we visited Aurangajeb’s Taj of the Deccan. The replica of Taj Mahal, which he constructed in memory of his wife.

Ajanta

Then we moved on to see Ajanta caves. It’s about 2 hrs of journey from Aurangabad. This is one the most important historical place. It’s really amazing. There are around 30caves. Each one is worth watching. Unfortunately we reached there my 4pm. So we are not in a position to visit all the caves as it is closed by 5:30 pm. So if you are planning to visit this place make sure that you reach as early as possible. The mountain and river valley of Ajanta is also good place for trekking. Overall the scene of Ajanta was beautiful.

Daulatabad

The next day we visited Daulatabad fort. The war strategies used in this is amazing. I’ll write about this fort in my next post.

Ellora

Later we moved on to Ellora caves. This is the place which contains cave temples of all three major religions of world. Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Here some temples are carved down from a huge rock. See the pictures. Again we proved that people won’t learn from their mistakes. By the time we reached this place it was around 5pm, where the caves are closed around 6pm.

The End

These are the major places that we visited, with this we also visited Shanishinapur on the way to Shirdi then we visited Trayambakeshwar temple on the way to Nasik. As usual journeys take lot of our quality time during this trip. But nobody can help it because of the distance between these places. Finally we are back to Mumbai with those five days of sweet memories.

If you visited these exciting places share the same here in comment section.
